Green Status/Passport

From December 1, entering certain facilities in Georgia is only possible with a green passport. Green Status admission applies to the following: outdoor and indoor spaces of food facilities, restaurants, cafes, bars as well as movie theaters, opera, theaters, museums, concert halls, casinos and gambling halls, spa and fitness centers, hotels, and ski lifts.

The requirement to present a Green Passport at the entry will apply to individuals from the age of 18 years.


Who can get green status/passport?

Individuals will receive a green status/passport if they are:

  • Fully vaccinated
  • Have taken a PCR test within the 72 hours OR
  • Antigen test within the 24 hours OR
  • Recovered from COVID-19

When will a person receive a “green status”?

  • After the second dose of vaccination OR
  • After receiving a negative PCR or Antigen test (officially uploaded by the clinic/laboratory to the portal) OR
  • 14 days after receiving a positive test for Covid-19

What is a GREEN PASSPORT?

  • “CovidPas Georgia” – QR code received after registration in application OR
  • “covidpass.moh.gov.ge” - QR code received after registration at the website OR
  • Digital or paper format document with QR code you received in the vaccination centers, clinics, and Public Service Halls of Georgia OR
  • Digital or paper format of an official document with QR code authorized by the government of the EU member state and other countries which are integrated in the system of  "EU Digital COVID Certificate"


Application “CovidPas Georgia”

In connection with the introduction of the green passport concept, the Government of Georgia launched an application CovidPass Georgia (App Store, Google Play), which can be used by both a citizen of Georgia and a foreign visitor. CovidPass Georgia will serve as a green passport to enter various facilities.

EU Digital COVID certificate system

Georgian or foreign citizens are able to use EU-vaccination certificates and/or test results to enter various facilities.  

A person vaccinated abroad (foreign visitor or citizen of Georgia), upon entering the border, submits a certificate of EU vaccination or a negative result of the PCR test. After crossing the border, the person will be able to enter the relevant spaces and attend events.

With today‘s decisions, 51 countries are connected to the EU Digital COVID Certificate system.

So far, EU and 25 non-EU countries (and territories) joined the EU Digital COVID Certificate system. This includes:

Countries without EU Digital COVID certificate

A person vaccinated abroad (foreign visitor or citizen of Georgia), upon entering the border, submits a certificate of non-EU-vaccination or a negative result of the PCR test. After crossing the border, the person will be able to easily register in the “CovidPass Georgia” application or website at the “covidpass.moh.gov.ge”. After registration, the person will be received QR-code able to enter the relevant spaces and attend events without any problems.

  • Citizens of Georgia or citizens of foreign countries who had a non-EU vaccination certificate and/or test result should download “CovidPass” app or register at the website moh.gov.ge after crossing the border.
