Located at the edge of the Alazani Valley, Kvareli Wine Cave is an essential destination for those seeking a genuine Georgian wine experience. This wine cellar, established in 1962 and carved into the Caucasus rock, extends 7.7 kilometers and maintains an ideal temperature range for wine aging.
With up to 26,000 bottles of premium wine, including vintages over 17 years old, the cave is a treasure trove for wine enthusiasts. Kvareli Wine Cave also offers a unique opportunity to participate in a Qvevri-making masterclass, where guests can craft and take home their own mini "Qvevri," a traditional Georgian wine vessel.
Beyond the wine, the complex features a scenic park with historic elements, such as ancient cellars, traditional bread ovens, and Georgian culinary masterclasses, including the preparation of Khachapuri and Churchkhela.
The experience culminates at the Khareba Restaurant, where visitors can enjoy Georgian-European cuisine in a serene natural setting. Whether exploring Georgian wine tours or engaging in authentic culinary experiences, Kvareli Wine Cave offers an enriching cultural adventure.
