DAY 1: TBILISI

  • Arrival to Tbilisi.
  • Transfer to hotel and check-in.
  • Explore the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi and wander the old districts of the city with its narrow streets, patterned balconies and colorful houses.
  • Walking tour in the old part of Tbilisi.
  • Welcome dinner at the restaurant with show program of national dances. (Overnight in Tbilisi).

DAY 2: TBILISI – MTSKHETA– KAZBEGI

  • Breaksfast at the hotel
  • Excursion in the former capital city of Mtskheta, being the religious center of Georgia.
  • Visiting the monuments, which are in the UNESCO Heritage list.
  • Mtskheta is one of the oldest cities of Georgia (in Kartli province of Eastern Georgia), near Tbilisi. Mtskheta was a capital of the Georgian Kingdom of Iberia during the 3rd century BC - 5th century AD. Here Georgians become converted to Christianity in 317 and Mtskheta still remains the headquarters of the Georgian Orthodox and Apostolic Church.
  • Jvari Monastery is a Georgian Orthodox monastery of the 6th century near Mtskheta (World Heritage site), Mtskheta-Mtianeti region, eastern Georgia. The name is translated as the Monastery of the Cross. For another, Jerusalem-located Georgian monastery with the same name.
  • Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, built in the 11 th century. Though the site itself is even older dating back to the early 4th century and is surrounded by a number of legends associated primarily with the early Christian traditions. Svetitskhoveli, known as the burial site of Christ's mantle, has long been the principal Georgian church and remains one of the most venerated places of worship to this day. The church counts UNESCO world heritage sites.
  • Departure to Aragvi Valley via military road. On the way, we will visit Fortress Ananuri. It is not only a historical place, but from here, you can also see the Zhinvali reservoir with an amazing panoramic view.
  • Departure to famous ski resort Gudauri-photo shooting.
  • Transfer to the Village Stephantsminda(Kazbegi). ( Overnight in Kazbegi)

Distance: Tbilisi – Ananuri- 70 km; Ananuri – Stepantsminda- 90 km;

DAY 3: TBILISI-KUTAISI

  • Breaksfast at the hotel. Check out from the hotel.
  • Jeep tour to Gergety trinity church. We will go up to the Gergeti Trinity church on the 4x4 cars. The church is situated on the right bank of the river Chkheri, at an elevation of 2170 meters (7120 feet), under Mount Kazbegi. The church, lonely staying of the top of the mountain, surrounded with a breathtaking landscape, is one of most famous Georgian landmarks.
  • Transfer to Kutaisi.
  • City tour to Kutaisi-historically one of the major cities of Georgia,It served as the capital of the Kingdom of Georgia in the middle ages: visit Gelati and Bagrati Monasteries and other interesting sights of the city and the Royal District in the old city centre. (Overnight in Kutaisi)

Distance: Stephantsminda-Kutaisi 330 km.

DAY 4: KUTAISI – MESTIA( SVANETI)

  • Breaksfast at the hotel.
  • Transfer to Mestia ( Svaneti).
  • Svaneti, one of the most ancient and historical provinces of Georgia, is located on the southern slopes of the Caucasus mountain range. Mestia is  the main regional centre of Zemo Svaneti. This is a mysterious land of towers and fortresses.  (Overnight in Mestia)

Distance: Kutaisi-Mestia 250 km.

 

DAY 5: MESTIA–  USHGULI

  • Breaksfast at the hotel.
  • Jeep tour to the mountain Ushguli.
  • Ushguli village is 45 km away from Mestia and consists of medieval settlements with authentic local community. Ushguli is one of the highest continually inhabited places in Europe (2,000-2,200 metres above sea level). Ushguli’s Medieval constructions, just like the towers and churches of Svaneti, are under the protection of UNESCO.
  • Visit Lamaria church in Ushguli.
  • Transfer to Mestia. (Overnight in Mestia)

Distance:Mestia- Ushguli – 50 km.


DAY 6: MESTIA AND SURROUNDUNG

  • Breaksfast at the hotel. Check out.
  • Today we will visit the villages – Latali, Lenjeri and Mulakhi.
  • Here you fall into the mystical medieval.
  • Visit the tower-museum of Margiani ( 12th century). Here you can see how the locals were living in medieval times.
  • The Historical and Ethnographical Museum.
  • Most of the treasures of Svaneti are found in the Historical and Ethnographical Museum of Mestia, which was founded in 1936 houses collections of the Church of Saint George, in Seti. Exhibit highlights include icons from the Middle Ages and ancestral artifacts from the noble family Dadeshkeliani dating back to the Middle Ages.  (Overnight in Mestia)

DAY 7: MESTIA – BATUMI

  • Breaksfast at the hotel
  • Transfer to Batumi.
  • Evening city-tour in Batumi.
  • Boat-tour. The sea tour is a great opportunity to admire the rare beauty of Batumi in the framing of mountains, to see the seaport, districts of the city and its beaches. (Overnight in Batumi).

Distance:Mestia- Batumi– 270 km.

 


DAY 8: BATUMI

  • Breaksfast at the hotel.
  • Visit the botanical garden of Batumi: The garden is 111 hectares and contains flora from nine phyto-geographic areas: East Asia, North America, New Zealand, South America, the Himalayas, Mexico, Australia, the Mediterranean, and the Caucasian humid subtropics. Visitors can wander the botanical garden by foot or in carts, which can be rented from the garden’s administration.
  • Then visit Petra Fortress, which is located in the village of Tsikhisdziri in the Kobuleti district of Ajara. Built during the 6th century A.D., it held an important strategic position at the crossroads of the route linking Georgia with Iran and Armenia. The fortress is one of the most significant monuments on the entire eastern coast of the Black Sea. (Overnight in Batumi)

DAY 9: BATUMI - TBILISI

  • Breaksfast at the hotel
  • Transfer to Tbilisi by hi-speed train.
  • Shopping tour in Tbilisi. (Overnight in Tbilisi)

DAY 10: TBILISI

  • Breaksfast at the hotel.
