Douqan was once regarded as a cultural icon of Tbilisi, celebrated not only for its content but also its attitude. In an effort to recapture the spirit of bygone days, a modern "Rigi" (Row) is being launched in Vorontsov Square, reminiscent of the spot where Nikala (Niko Pirosmanashvili) painted images of rafts on the Mtkvari River.
