You will be able to visit Tbilisi, and at the same time to see the ancient capital of Georgia, Mtskheta, to rise to Jvari Monastery and to study the ancient cave city of Uplistsikhe.

DAY 1: TBILISI

Metekhi Cathedral, founded in the 13th century The ancient citadel and the residence of the Georgian kings, where, according to legend, the legendary Queen Tamar prayed.The fortress "Narikala" is the soul of Tbilisi, (climbing the cable car).

DAY 3: TBILISI-UPLISHIKHE-MTSKHETA-TBILISI

Transfer for an excursion to the cave city - Uplistsikhe. Uplistsikhe (lit. God's Fortress) is an ancient cave city, one of the first cities in Georgia. Uplistsikhe carved into the rock. The city arose at the end of II — at the beginning of the first millennium BC. e., survived several ups and downs, was finally abandoned in the 19th century and is thus a multi-layered archaeological site, one of the most important monuments of Georgian culture.
The uniqueness of the monument lies in the fact that, thanks to its structure, it retained the remains of architectural and religious buildings built over several millennia. In its heyday, Uplistsikhe included more than 700 caves and cave structures, of which only 150 have survived to date.
Transfer to the ancient city-museum of Mtskheta.
Lunch and wine tasting in a home-style wine cellar.
Visiting the monasteries of Jvari and Svetitskhoveli, walking and visiting wine and souvenir shops in the tourist area near the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral.
Return to Tbilisi.
